On Monday, this year's new Michelin stars were awarded to restaurants in the Nordic countries. Two Swedish restaurants received a star for the first time – the sushi restaurant Hoze in Gothenburg and Ergo in Stockholm. They now take a place in the prestigious Michelin guide.
"The detailed cooking has a classic French base, but combines it with modern techniques and international flavors", writes Michelin Nordic about Ergo in a press release.
The restaurant Signum in Mölnlycke, which already had a star, received another one. Signum, which focuses on fish and shellfish, also received a "green star" – an award for restaurants that are particularly good at sustainability.
Restaurant Frantzén is still the only restaurant in Sweden with three Michelin stars. This year, the restaurant's André Bekker received the Michelin Sommelier Award.
