Glenn Nyberg will be one of 35 main referees in this summer's Club World Championship for men in the USA, announces the International Football Federation (Fifa). Nyberg, together with his assistants Mahbod Beigi and Andreas Söderkvist, forms the only Swedish referee team in the tournament.
The Club World Championship, which has been expanded to 32 teams, has a prize pool of over 10 billion kronor. The completely new format of the tournament begins in Miami on June 14 and the final is played at Metlife Stadium outside New York, four weeks later.
