In just under two weeks, listeners could hear Swedish Radio's traffic editorial new alarm signal. Now the radio is backing down from its decision to scrap the 30-year-old traffic tune – and it's coming back.
The reason is to be, according to Ulf Myrenstam, channel manager at P4, an extensive criticism from the listeners.
The criticism became too strong. The worry of missing important traffic information was a little stronger than we thought, he says to Sveriges Radios Ekot.
The old signal will start being heard again on Thursday.
