SR's cultural director Peter O. Nilsson describes the principle as simple:

He has written some posts on X that we perceive as taking positions on political issues, and then we cannot cover those issues, Nilsson tells Sveriges Radio.

Critics like opinion leader Magnus Ranstorp think it's "double standards" and compare it to Middle East correspondent Cecilia Uddén, who signed the so-called Gad petition without having her coverage area restricted.

These are very different situations; there are a lot of apples and oranges here, and it is difficult to compare them directly, Nilsson says.

Arndtzén has made posts about, among other things, the Minister of Culture's "diss" of the film industry.
