"I'm proud to join Hitech GP for my first full season in Formula 2 next season," says Beganovic to the team's website and continues:
"Getting to take the step to full-time in 2025 with one of the top teams in Formula 2 is an incredible opportunity."
But even before he took a regular spot "on the grid" he had made a name for himself. During the two final races of this season, the Swede got the chance in F2 for the DAMS team.
Directly convincing Beganovic, who is part of the Ferrari Driver Academy, by finishing fourth in qualifying without any experience of the class at all. The following weekend, he continued to convince when he snatched a podium spot in the sprint race in Abu Dhabi.
Now, his first full season in Formula 2 awaits, which is the class below the absolute elite in F1.
Hitech finished fourth in the constructors' championship in 2024. There, the Swede will now be a teammate with the two-year-older Brit Luke Browning.
