The five-day operation was carried out in 60 countries. More than 2,000 victims were identified.

The arrests are expected to have an effect on human trafficking in Sweden - since human trafficking in the country is largely controlled by criminal actors abroad.

In Sweden, 48 victims were identified and a total of six people were arrested. In an operation at several addresses in the Gothenburg area, four men were arrested, two of whom are suspected of purchasing sexual services and two of attempting to purchase sexual services.

About ten women and one man found in the same operation were identified as victims of crime. Many of them come from South America.
