It is the highest win in Sweden so far, says Sofie Hodén, communicator at Svenska spel, to TT.

She got hold of the winner late on Tuesday evening.

The person in question was in shock. It was shaky. This had really not sunk in yet, so we decided that I would call back tomorrow.

Hodén does not want to reveal where the winning row was submitted yet. However, she can say that the person bet 150 kronor, which led to a win of 1,254,052,648 kronor.

The person had read an article about this, gone in and corrected their row, and then it turned out that it was the person in question who had won, says Sofie Hodén.

Completely incredible. I myself got goosebumps when I called up.

Wins up to five million kronor are paid out directly. In this case, a bank meeting is awaited where the winner will receive economic and legal advice, after which the money will be transferred.

It is not the first time a Swede wins the big pot on Eurojackpot. For example, a person in Skåne won over 250 million kronor last summer.

The win that was previously the highest on Eurojackpot in Sweden went to a player in Örebro in 2019. The record win at the time was 562 million kronor.
