Billions of Swedish pension funds are invested in companies that export weapons to the military junta in Myanmar, reports Sveriges Radio's eco-editors.

The Swedish AP funds have invested over four billion kronor in, among other things, Indian companies that export weapons and military equipment to the military junta in Myanmar, which is accused of war crimes.

"Very serious human rights abuses," says Kristina Jelmin, the Swedish Burma Committee's operations manager, about the junta's actions to Ekot.

The Seventh AP Fund is responsible for the majority of the investments and tells the radio that it will review the assessments made in connection with the investments.

The review was conducted by the Swedish Burma Committee, Justice For Myanmar and Fair Finance Guide.
