Stegfeldt made it all the way to the final, but home favourite Ikuma Horishima proved too strong.
But Stegfeldt was nonetheless happy, taking the third podium finish of his career.
"It feels fantastic, it's been far too long since I've been this happy. I loved Japan even before this, but now it's even better," says Stegfeldt, according to the Swedish Ski Association.
At the Olympics, the 27-year-old finished 12th in parallel moguls and 18th in moguls.
