The duo David Åhman and Jonathan Hellvig won Olympic Games gold in Paris last summer. Now they are in Malmö, for the world tour, and play on home ground for the first time in three years.
The Olympic Games gold medalists came to the competitions in Malmö as the clearly best-ranked pair and have also met expectations and qualified for the semifinal after beating the Austrians Lorenz Petutschnig and Maximilian Trummer in the quarterfinals.
Another Swedish duo, Jacob Hölting Nilsson and Elmer Andersson, are also clear for the semifinal. This after they knocked out the Spanish duo Daniel Moreno Ferrer and Roberto Sanfélix.
The two Swedish pairs play in separate semifinals and can thus come to meet in the final. It will be played on Sunday.
