Anaheim's Swedish star forward Leo Carlsson was still absent when Anaheim met Montréal on Tuesday night.
The 19-year-old was checked into the goal cage in a match against Seattle at the end of November and suffered an upper body injury. Tuesday's match was the sixth in a row that Carlsson missed.
On the ice, however, was defenseman Jacob Trouba, New York Rangers' former team captain, who was traded to Anaheim on Friday. Trouba got over 22 minutes of playing time but did not stand out with any performances, and Montréal won 3–2 after overtime and penalties.
