In 2023, Lundeström suffered the injury for the first time, then in his left foot.
During a training session at home in Norrbotten, his right foot started hurting.
"I immediately understood what had happened," says Lundeström.
The center had twelve points (4+8) during his first season in Columbus. The Swede has another year left on his contract with the club.
But first comes rehabilitation, and he hopes to be back on the ice by December.
"It's not an ideal situation, but I'll just try to do the best I can when I get back."
"I hardly know any other hockey player who has had this happen to them, and the odds of it happening twice are high. I've been both angry and sad," says Lundeström.
