The 24-year-old first assisted Nico Schlotterbeck's 1-0 goal in the first half. After Harry Kane scored twice for the away team, Svensson then equalized for second-placed Dortmund and looked set to salvage a point in the 83rd minute.

However, it was the league leaders who would go home with all three points. German national team captain Joshua Kimmich decided the game in the 87th minute with his 3-2 goal, and Bayern now lead the German league by eleven points after 24 of 36 rounds.
