The man, who is a Swedish citizen, is wanted by Interpol for involvement in a shooting in Årsta in Stockholm, Thaiger reports. He is also suspected of weapons offences and drug smuggling.
The arrest was part of a larger operation against suspected foreign nationals who have sought refuge in Thailand. The man came to Thailand on a tourist visa in early January and will be tried for overstaying in the country without a valid visa before being deported to Sweden, Thaiger reports.
