It was on Monday that Delgado Varas shared an image on X with the message that the USA is controlled by Israel, together with an anti-Semitic image caption. The Jewish Central Council criticizes her for spreading a "deeply anti-Semitic image".

"It is important that the law enforcement authorities now investigate whether she can be held accountable for this action", the organization writes in a press release.

For Aftonbladet, the Left Party's party secretary Maria Forsberg reveals that Delgado Varas is taking a break from her assignments during the police investigation.

The Jewish Central Council also demands that the Left Party leader Nooshi Dadgostar distances herself from Delgado Varas. Minister for Labour Market and Integration Mats Persson (L) also believes that Delgado Varas should resign, he tells Expressen.

Delgado Varas tells Dagens ETC that she did not see the entire image caption and that she deleted the post when she saw what was written there.

The Member of Parliament, who is also a member of the Left Party's board, has previously been noticed for wearing a Palestinian scarf in the parliamentary chamber, despite several warnings from the Speaker that it violates the rules of order.
