According to the television channel BFMTV, the man was found dead on Monday. An investigation has been launched, but according to sources close to Le Parisien, he died as a result of cardiac arrest.
The model scout was suspected of recruiting young models for Epstein, and a total of five women have reported him to the police, Le Parisien reports.
The man appears more than 2,000 times in the files surrounding Jeffrey Epstein.
"Stockholm is full of the most beautiful models who have never modelled before. It's like a gold mine," he wrote to the now-dead sex offender in 2014.
Earlier this year, he came forward to clear his name in an interview with Expressen.
"I have nothing to hide and I want the truth to come out," he said at the time.
