It turned out as feared – after four years, the Swedish mixed golf tournament, Scandinavian Mixed, is being shut down.
It is DP World Tour, the men's European Tour, that does not want to include the tournament in the schedule for next year.
We had hoped to find a solution, but it hasn't happened, says Henrik Hilford Brander at We Do Sports, which owns the rights to the tournament, to Svensk Golf.
His colleague Claes Nilsson says they are looking at new alternatives.
We're not ready to reveal too much right now, but it's a new, exciting concept, says Nilsson.
Annika Sörenstam and Henrik Stenson were the hosts for the first mixed tournament in 2021. In 2022, Linn Grant won and became the first woman to win a tournament on DP World Tour. She also won this year's tournament.
