There will be no Swedish medal in mixed doubles in the World Championship in Doha. Both Stina Källberg/Kristian Karlsson and Linda Bergström/Mattias Falck were eliminated in the round of 16.

Källberg/Karlsson took home the first set (11–9) against Lin Yun-Ju and Cheng I-Ching from Taiwan, but it didn't help. Cheng/Lin took over the match and won three straight sets, all with a margin, and won with 3–1 (9–11, 11–6, 11–6, 11–4).

Bergström and Falck had it equally tough a bit later in the afternoon. Austria's Sofia Polcanova and Robert Gardos won with 3–1 in sets (11–9, 11–3, 10–12, 11–5).

A bit of a breeze in today's doubles play:

Mattias Falck and Kristian Karlsson quickly and easily dispatched Alberto Mino and Diego Piguave from Ecuador.

The Swedes won with 3–0 (11–3, 11–5, 11–6) and join Truls Möregårdh and Anton Källberg in the men's doubles quarterfinal.
