It could have been an exciting battle between Sweden's only two NBA players when Miami faced Detroit. But an ankle injury kept Bobi Klintman out of another game and Pelle Larsson was the only Swede to see his Miami defeated 135–138.

It is the seventh consecutive game that Detroit's Swedish player Bobi Klintman has missed due to injury. Of those seven, Detroit has only lost two, including the most recent victory, and the team is at the top of the Eastern Conference.

For Miami, the loss is the first after six straight victories.

Pelle Larsson accounted for seven of the team's points in his 25 minutes of playing time. However, his teammate Andrew Wiggins scored the most points of any player in the game, 31 in total, although it wasn't enough to secure victory.
