According to local media, the man was found in a hotel, unconscious and bruised. He was taken to hospital but his life could not be saved.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs writes in a comment to TV4 Nyheterna that "it is known that a Swedish man in his sixties, a resident of Svealand, died on September 18 in Thailand."
Otherwise, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not wish to comment further on the matter for confidentiality reasons.
