The 20-year-old Swede who is being prosecuted is said to have arrived on an electric scooter to an area near Vesterport in central Copenhagen. There, he allegedly waited for the 37-year-old, whom he then shot at, according to the Copenhagen police's description of the event.
Two Danes are also being prosecuted for murder. The police and prosecutor believe they can prove that the three defendants planned the murder together.
"Despite a comprehensive and lengthy investigation, it has not been possible to clarify a motive," says prosecutor Alexander Palne in a press release from the Danish police.
It is not clear whether the defendants admit to the crime or deny it.
