The accident occurred on Monday afternoon after the bus dropped off a group of passengers in Valldemossa in the western part of the island. The bus hit a pole as it left the stop, causing the pole to fall on the man. He died at the scene, Spanish media reported.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is aware that a Swedish man in his 30s, a resident of Svealand, died on August 17 in Spain. Relatives have been notified," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote in an email to Expressen .
