On behalf of Swedish police, Faroese authorities have arrested a Swedish man who traveled to the islands, as reported by Aftonbladet.
The man is said to have been on the archipelago for less than a week and was arrested in a public place without resisting. Local authorities suspect the man planned to stay in the Faroe Islands and find work.
Now it will be decided whether he will be extradited to Sweden. This is the first time Faroese police have handled an extradition to another Nordic country. A court will decide whether the conditions for extradition are met.
