He is suspected of, among other things, conspiracy to commit murder, instigating aggravated arson, aggravated weapons offences and aggravated extortion.
He is described as a leading criminal actor and is suspected of having ordered several acts of violence in the Bergslagen region earlier this year.
Several accomplices, suspected of carrying out or assisting in the crimes, have already been arrested. Some are teenagers, according to the police.
The man was arrested on October 8 and Sweden is to request his extradition.
