Swedish tennis junior Lea Nilsson is ready for the semifinal in US Open.
After beating out world number one Julieta Pareja in the round of 16 on Wednesday, it was even easier to win the quarterfinal the day after.
After just over an hour of play, the 17-year-old from Stockholm had beaten out the eighth-seeded Spaniard Esquiva Banuls with 6–4, 6–1.
In the semifinal, the ninth-seeded Briton Mika Stojsavljevic is waiting. Lea Nilsson qualified for the grand slam tournament in New York.
