On Saturday, Sofie Axelsson received the news that Joakim Medin had been transferred to the high-security prison Marmara in the city of Silivri outside Istanbul.
I don't know if it's good or bad news, I don't want to speculate about that. I just want to get Joakim home, she says.
Medin, a journalist who was in Turkey to report on the extensive democracy protests for Dagens ETC, has not had contact with his lawyer after being transferred from the lower-security prison where he was previously held, according to Axelsson for SVT.
In Marmara prison, among others, Istanbul's mayor Ekrem Imamoglu and other political prisoners are being held.
In Turkey, it's known as a prison for high-profile cases of imprisoned politicians and journalists, says SVT's Turkey correspondent Tomas Thorén.
