In it, SVT's reporter contacts companies that work with the Swedish Public Employment Service's billion-kronor investment Rusta och matcha, a program to get long-term unemployed people into jobs or studies. He pretends to want to settle with the job coaches about his wife's presence and gets promises that absences will not be reported, not even if the wife is abroad. In 33 of 72 offices, the coaches are prepared to help.

The requirements include that the wife should not meet other men, not take part in activities, or that she should stay at home and not have to look for a job.

The employment service will follow up on the revelation, which Director General Maria Hemström Hemmingsson calls "horrible".
