The temperature in the Swedish industry fell last month, shows the purchasing managers' index for June.
The index fell from revised 53.1 in May to 51.9 in June, shows the monthly measurements from Swedbank and the purchasing managers' organization Silf.
"The industry is in the growth zone but is standing still without gaining proper momentum. This is particularly the case in order intake, which raises questions about the strength of the economy and the uncertainty about what will happen after the American tariff pause", says Jörgen Kennemar, responsible for the analysis of the purchasing managers' index at Swedbank in a press release.
An index value above 50 indicates increased activity in the sector.
