There was no World Championship final for the Swedish ice dance pair Milla Ruud Reitan and Nikolaj Majorov.
The pair finished 25th in the rhythm dance at the World Championship in Boston and a top 20 placement would have been required for final advancement.
The score of 64.98 was barely two points from the season's best, but more than three points would have been needed for advancement.
It was the second year in a row that Reitan and Majorov were eliminated directly, last year they finished 28th.
The Norrköping skaters started their ice dance endeavor in the spring of 2023 and when they qualified for the World Championship last year, it was the first time in 41 years that Sweden had an ice dance pair in the World Championship.
The pair is aiming to reach the Olympic Games in Milan, but then Norwegian-born Reitan must first become a Swedish citizen.
