Sales in the daily goods trade picked up speed in November and increased by 5.1 percent compared to the same period in 2023. This is shown by the daily goods index of the trade organization Svensk Dagligvaruhandel.
"The economic situation is slowly turning upwards, which means that a higher consumption level among households contributes to positive volume growth for the industry," says Karin Brynell, CEO of Svensk Dagligvaruhandel in a press release.
The sales development in stores amounted to 5.2 in November, while e-commerce increased by 3.7 percent. The development for home delivery, on the other hand, was more modest, showing a weak increase of 0.2 percent.
