Swedish households are becoming increasingly optimistic about the economic situation. The household confidence indicator rose in July, according to the National Institute of Economic Research's (KI) monthly barometer indicator.

However, KI also notes that despite the upturn, sentiment is weaker than normal, including that "households continue to see a car purchase within the next twelve months as very unlikely."

At the same time, the barometer indicator as a whole has increased for the third month in a row.
