Swedish households are increasing their savings

Swedish household savings increased during the third quarter, according to recent figures from the statistical authority SCB.

Swedish household savings amounted to SEK 35 billion at the end of the third quarter. This is an increase of SEK 18 billion compared to the same quarter last year. Withdrawals from bank accounts fell to SEK 6 billion, which can be compared with last year's figure of SEK 16 billion.

At the same time, household loans also increased by SEK 20 billion compared to last year, to SEK 41 billion at the end of the third quarter.
