In the qualifying round, Jennifer Williams was the best, but when the European Championship final in vault was decided, the Swede did not manage to meet the expectations and finished sixth.

This after a fall.

Williams had the highest difficulty grade. She received 12,533 points. The gold went to Nina Derwael of Belgium with 14,033.

The 19-year-old Eskilstuna gymnast, who is doing her very first European Championship, was also in the final in floor exercise where she finished eighth with 11,933 in floor exercise. There was also a points deduction for a fall where the Swede put her hands down after a double somersault.

Ana Barbosu of Romania won the event with 13,833.
