Jacob Widell Zetterström is living up to Graham Potter's choice of goalkeeper in the World Cup playoff game. He's not disappointing the national captain right now.

Widell Zetterström went the right way and saved Joël Piroe's penalty in the FA Cup match against Premier League club Leeds.

Just over two minutes later, Derby, who play in the second division, took the lead through Ben Brereton Diaz.

But that's where the fun ended. Early in the second half, Leeds turned it around to 2–1 and eventually won 3–1.

Sweden national team defender Gabriel Gudmundsson was not in the Leeds squad.

The national team will play in the World Cup playoffs at the end of March. A semi-final against Ukraine is set for Valencia on March 26. If Sweden wins, they will face Poland or Albania in a direct, decisive match for a World Cup spot on March 31.

In that case, that match will be played at Strawberry Arena in Solna.

Jacob Widell Zetterström started in the final World Cup qualifying match against Slovenia in November. He is competing primarily with Viktor Johansson for the starting goalkeeper spot.

Johansson has had a shoulder injury for some time and is a question mark ahead of the playoffs.
