Brighton won after substitute Nadine Noordam made it 3-2 five minutes into added time, beating Liverpool goalkeeper Falk.
Striker Olsson scored Liverpool's 2-0 goal midway through the first half, assisted by fellow Swede Cornelia Kapocs. Liverpool's fourth Swede, winger Alice Bergström, also got playing time in the match.
It was the first time Brighton had reached the FA Cup final. There they faced league winners Manchester City, who defeated Chelsea 3–2 after extra time.
