Swedish GDP growth weaker in fourth quarter

Sweden's GDP (gross domestic product) rose by 0.5 percent in the fourth quarter compared with the third quarter, according to Statistics Sweden (SCB).

Compared with the fourth quarter of 2024, the growth rate was 2.1 percent.

Economists had, on average, predicted growth of 0.4 percent and 2.2 percent, respectively, according to Bloomberg's compilation.

During the third quarter, the annual growth rate was 2.6 percent.
