Swedish Gasoline Prices Hit Lowest Level Since August After 95-Öre Cut

The price of gasoline will be cut by 95 öre per litre on Tuesday, bringing it to its lowest level since the end of August.

The price of oil on the world market is still hovering well above $100 a barrel for North Sea oil, even though it has fallen significantly from peaks of around $115 the other week.

At the pumps, the price is still relatively low, at just over 16 kronor per litre after Tuesday's sharp reduction. The previous tax rebate of 1 krona per litre was reinstated at the same time (October 1).

The price of diesel is being cut by 75 öre to around 22.30 kronor, its lowest level in almost a month, according to the companies' prices on fuel retailers' websites, which TT has converted into prices for private motorists.
