”We have taken note of the information in the media and cannot comment on it. We have previously had contacts and meetings with Mexican authorities”, writes the Prosecution Authority in a press release.
Mexico announced on Saturday that a Swede, suspected of violent crime linked to, among other things, weapons and narcotics offenses in Europe, has been arrested.
”At present, we cannot provide any further information”, writes the Prosecution Authority.
The man is suspected of a number of serious crimes in Sweden and has been detained in his absence by the district courts in Sundsvall and Södertälje. He has also been internationally wanted by Interpol.
