Swedish travelers are urged to follow the instructions of local authorities.
Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson says in a written comment that he has "followed with dismay the violent riots in several parts of Europe in recent days" and continues:
“The right to demonstrate and peacefully express one’s opinion is fundamental. It is a cornerstone of any democratic society that should be defended at all costs. But the wave of indiscriminate violence and destruction that we have seen in recent days is about something else entirely. It shows a complete lack of respect for the values and principles that underpin our open and free societies.”
