Both Amanda Ilestedt and Lina Hurtig are leaving Arsenal, the club announces on its website.

Swedish football star Amanda Ilestedt is leaving Arsenal at the end of the season when her contract expires, the club announces.

"Everyone at Arsenal wants to thank Amanda for her contribution to the club and her family all the best for the future", they write in a statement on their website.

Ilestedt came to Arsenal in the summer of 2023 and has scored three goals in 23 appearances for the club.

The 32-year-old was part of the team in the 2023-2024 season.

Ilestedt was absent from play for large parts of 2024 as she was pregnant with Mila, who was born in August.

Forward Lina Hurtig is also leaving Arsenal this summer when her contract expires.

"We wish her all the best in the next chapter", the club writes.

The 29-year-old forward came to the London club in the summer of 2022 from Juventus. In 36 matches, she has won two league titles and is credited with seven goals.

Hurtig has been injured during this year's season and has only played 54 minutes.

In late March, she was called up to the national team after a longer absence in the blue and yellow jersey. But shortly after, she had to withdraw due to a new injury.

Her last national team match was in 2023.
