The agent is suspected of serious money laundering and three cases of serious accounting offenses. Defense lawyer Alparslan Tügel tells SVT that the agent denies the allegations.
The agent has been detained in his absence since the beginning of October. The arrest was made in cooperation between the Economic Crime Authority, Swedish police and Austrian police, writes Expressen and GP.
The prosecutor says that they are working to get the agent extradited to Sweden.
