In a vote in The New York Times the film, which was released in 2008, ends up in place 70 of 100, something that Sweden's Radio Culture News was the first to report.
The film is based on a book by John Ajvide Lindqvist.
The best film of the millennium is "Parasite" by Bong Joon Ho, followed by David Lynch's "Mulholland Drive" and "There will be blood" by Paul Thomas Anderson.
The films have been chosen by 500 people in the film industry around the world.
