Swedish fighter jets carried out an operation against a Russian military aircraft over the Baltic Sea on Saturday, announces the Swedish Air Force.
According to the Air Force, the operation took place on request and in cooperation with NATO.
"Sweden is well integrated into NATO, which was demonstrated when passage through Danish airspace over Bornholm was used to quickly reach the mission", they write on X.
According to Expressen, which was the first to break the news, the Jas 39 Gripen fighter jets participated in the operation, which was able to identify the Russian military aircraft of the type IL-20 Coot-A.
