Despite customs duties and a stronger Swedish krona, there is a tailwind for Swedish export companies. Business Sweden's export manager index rises 4.6 units to 51.0 thanks to stronger demand from North America.
"After the agreement between the EU and the USA, the trade policy uncertainty has decreased, but not been eliminated. The brightening of the export market shows a good ability of the Swedish export companies to adapt to new conditions”, notes Lena Sellgren, chief economist at Business Sweden in a press release.
