Swedish Embassies in Middle East Temporarily Closed

Sweden's embassy in Tehran is closed, the embassy announces on its website. The message is that the embassy is closed until and including Thursday. All booked times this week are cancelled.

The Swedish embassy in Tel Aviv as well as the consulate in Jerusalem are closed to visitors on Monday and Tuesday.

Israel and Iran have continued to attack each other during the night. At least eight people have been killed and 300 injured by Iranian missiles against, among other things, Tel Aviv and the port city of Haifa.

Israel has responded and is reported to have attacked, among other things, military bases belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard during the night.
