The Consumer Ombudsman (KO) has sent an injunction to the company, accompanied by a fine of SEK 1.5 million, according to a press release.

"Some consumers have been asked to sign the agreement with BankID during the call, which is prohibited, and many have reacted to the fact that, after the sales call, they received an agreement with a 60-month commitment period with a completely new electricity company," writes KO.

The methods used by the company are prohibited, according to KO.

"The Distance Contracts Act is clear: a telemarketer must begin by informing the consumer which company the call is from and that the purpose of the call is to sell something."
