The loss came in two straight sets (19–21, 18–21). The world number ones had also lost yesterday's final group-stage match against the Dutch duo van de Velde and de Groot in two straight sets.
The competition's other Swedish duo, David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig, advanced to the quarterfinals after a dramatic victory over the French duo Rotar/Gauthier-Rat.
Åhman and Hellvig won 2–1 (21–16, 18–21, 16–14).
In the quarterfinals they will face van de Velde and de Groot. The match starts at 5:00 PM.
