Hölting Nilsson and Andersson followed up Wednesday's victory over the Germans Lukas Pfretzschner and Sven Winter by defeating Eylon Elazar and Kevin Cuzmiciov from Israel with 2–1 (23–21, 22-24 15–12) in sets.
The reigning Olympic Games champions David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig, on their part, had no problems dismissing Alexander Brouwer and Steven van de Velde from the Netherlands by 2-0 in sets (21-14, 21-14).
The European Championship is held in Düsseldorf, Germany.
