Jeremy Strong stars in the Swedish director's first English-language film, "The Passenger," a thriller based on a novel by Ulrich Alexander Boschwitz, according to Variety. The film is set in Germany in 1938 and is about a Jewish businessman who wants to escape without leaving his assets behind.
Magnus von Horn wants to portray the moment before the businessman recognizes that the world has changed.
"I see it everywhere now: in the headlines, in negotiations, in the people I love. We are remarkably good at lingering," he said in a statement.
Last year, Magnus von Horn's film "The Girl with the Needle" was nominated for an Oscar for Best International Film.
