The new documents in the Epstein investigation show that the diplomat had email contact with the sex offender for several years. The contact continued until 2019, a few months before Epstein was arrested.
It also appears that she was allowed to borrow an apartment in New York from him twice.
In a comment to SVT, the diplomat writes that she completely distances herself from Epstein and his actions.
"I also want to make it clear that I have not lived at his house. My contact has been sporadic and superficial," she writes further.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' press service writes to SVT that the information in the Epstein investigation is not related to the employee's job.
"We take the information seriously. We are having conversations with the employee," the press service writes.
